In my opinion, GangStarr was the greatest Hip Hop duo of all time. To this day, DJ Premier's beats embody the foundation of Hip Hop as a culture. Guru knew early on what the neccesary ingredients of a MC were, and displayed them on every song he performed on. Together there styles meshed perfectly, and something special was created. Not to long ago, Guru passed away due to health issues, and when that happened i felt like a piece of Hip Hop had passed away with him... Theres no way to recreate what they had, but i felt like it was neccessary for me to create a project dedicated to there legacy, and also to enlighten people who might not be familar with there work and views. This is real Hip Hop, and i tried my best to show the proper respect to Legends that i would be honored just to step in one footstep of the many they created for artist to follow.... I hope you guys enjoy the music and share the project in honor of The Best Hip Hop Duo there ever was....#GangStarr...
